On Tuesday 10 September, Gjalt Wijma will give another lecture on 5 myths about science & faith.
The 5 myths:
- facts always win;
- science is always objective;
- the big bang is evident;
- dinosaurs became extinct 60 million years ago;
- natural selection explains complexity.
In this lecture we will look at interesting new research results in the fields of cosmology, paleontology and biology, which are not easily explained within current scientific insights. Listeners are challenged to discuss the implications of these research results in an open discussion after the lecture.
The lecture will last approximately one hour and will be given in English. The speaker studied Aerospace Engineering at Delft University and has extensive experience in giving lectures on these subjects, nationally and internationally.
The meeting is free of charge and will be held in the DOK library, Vesteplein 100 – Delft.
